George Lewis Kerns was born October 22, 1882 to Kate and Edward Kerns. He had one sister Anna Marie. Edward Kerns died in 1892,
In the 1895 Census of New Jersey ,Mt Laurel , There was a Kate with George and Anna but it was with a John Scott Kerns?
By 1897 Kate remarried James Brophy and by 1900 had another child Andrew Brophy. George and Anna lived there with their mother ,Step dad and step brother in Ward 22, Cincinnati , Ohio.
In 1910 George was married to Anna Ewerhardy and her little brother John Ewerhardy lived with them in Ward 19, Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 1920 George and Anna lived in Bromley, Kentucky at 116 Moore St where they were renting. Hilda , Marie, and Edward were all born by then. George was a teamster , worked for Harry Van Cleve and worked at Carr & Richmond in Cincinnati, I was told he was the night watchman after his accident with the oil company where he lost his leg.
In 1930 they owned a house in Cincinnati, Ohio valued at $3500.00. Carl,Catherine and Rosella were now there by 1930. Carl died young from drinking bad goats milk so they say.
I don't know when he died but Hilda said he was in his 50's and died of heart problems.
